Airian Eastman is a Central New York native. She is a sucker for romance and enjoys going on adventures with her husband Michael to the mountains or the ocean and taking their mutt Ren for walks. When not writing, she spends her time working as a real estate paralegal, researching her family ancestry and devouring books.

The above is my NORMAL who am I, but I want to share the real me. The things I don’t often show- so what you want to know about me is who I am as a writer, as a reader, as a person right! The above is okay, but boring and predictable which is everything I’m not!

I am a creator of worlds, in my head, on paper, during my D&D sessions. That leads me to the next. I am a geek. I love all things fantasy but Drow or dark elves are my favorites. If I could take one trip in the fantasy world it would be to Menzoberranzan, and don’t get me started on Drizzt. Not a fan!

I have a fantastical romance. My true love Michael and I have our share of ups and downs, just like every couple, but we are 15 years strong. He has given me the ocean and the sky. I hope I have given him just as much. Together we have had heartache and experienced deep loss but we find our way through and take a thousand adventures. Our vacations and trips are always about exploring and he is my muse, my partner and my copilot in life.

I come from a family of 6, youngest of four and a huge extended family, and despite feeling like the anti-social freak outcast I seem to attract like minded people and have a lot of friends. I have the worst self-image and wish I learned long before now that if I was just myself and less worried about what everyone thought of me I would have been happier much longer. That said the journey I have taken has made me who I am, a fine young woman and fierce friend. I am glad for my circles, family and friends, they keep me going.

I am daddy’s little girl and dad was always the one I praised first but my mom is my biggest hero. She didn’t always do things right but by GOD she did them to the best of her ability. She is where I get a lot of my personality from. My dad taught me to be fearless but my mom taught me how to be compassionate, how to look at the world with judgement free eyes and consider the fate and the struggles of others. She was a single mom until just before I came along and she welcomed my half brother into the fold with open arms. She struggled and lost most of her family to cancer and then together we watched my dad dwindle and fade until Cancer took him as well. She has been am amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, great aunt, grandmother, cousin and friend. She helps anyone in need and she has been supporting me my whole life. When I said I wanted to be a writer (at like 10 years old) she didn’t dash my dreams, she just told me to have a backup plan because writing was hard and I might need something else to help me get where I wanted to be asĀ  a writer. She knew the struggle writers face but she never said “Don’t do it.” She just taught me how to prepare for it.

I have three pets- two fat cats and a dog.

I have two trilogies, a steampunk fantasy and an Arthurian legend fantasy along with the current novel A Kiss for Cadence and its sequel Breckenridge Boys. I can’t wait to share it all with you!
